With this route I have intended to make a route that covers a large part of the Retiro and passes through many of its most emblematic places. Anyone who already knows or has been to these gardens will know that covering all the places it hides in a single walk is impossible, since it has such a large number of unique corners that going to one implies moving away from others or almost all directions, but that is also a of the greatness of that park, that to know it thoroughly it is necessary to dedicate many new visits that will always continue to surprise us.
When marking with waypoints, I have focused more on tree species than on prominent places, since Wikiloc only allows a maximum of 50 waypoints, and many more would be needed here. In any case, the name of the places can be consulted with your mobile phone on any base map of the city.
There is a network of trees marked with information signs throughout the park, the map of this distribution is as follows:
I have not been able to include all the trees on this botanical route, but I have included some more that are not marked and that are common species in our geography.
The total duration of the route is just over four hours, that is, more or less a full morning or afternoon.
