Route from Poljšica pri Gorjah to Mlino passing through:
- Mala Osojnica Viewpoint (2.7 km)
- Lake Bled (6.1 km)
- Bled Castle (7.1 km)
----------------------In the heart of Europe is Slovenia, a jewel for hiking and mountain sports. A country where more than 60% is forest and stands out for its unique landscapes. With a population of around 2 million, this compact country is known for its majestic mountains, with Triglav being its highest and most emblematic point. Our first visit takes us directly to the Julian Alps, a majestic mountain range in northwest Slovenia that offers a spectacular setting for trekking and nature lovers. This mountain paradise is also home to charming alpine villages such as Bovec, the ideal starting point for exciting outdoor activities such as rafting and paragliding. With its stunning scenery and exciting opportunities, the Julian Alps are a must-see stop for adventure lovers.
Our case and after a pleasant route through the Triglav we have approached Lake Bled, a mandatory stop for any visitor to this area.
Lake Bled is a natural gem of Slovenia, famous for its central island with a 17th-century baroque church. Surrounded by the majestic Julian Alps, the lake offers dreamlike landscapes and turquoise waters perfect for rowing a boat or swimming. The island is accessed by traditional pletnas, small wooden boats. From the medieval castle on top of a cliff, you can enjoy a spectacular panoramic view. In addition, Bled is known for its delicious "kremšnita", a local cream cake that you cannot miss. See Route.
Our proposal leads us to take the popular and tourist circular route that surrounds the lake. To complement it we have gone up to a beautiful viewpoint, demanding, but worth it. And of course to the castle.
Simple, suitable for all audiences and with hundreds of bars, supermarkets and ice cream parlours, you couldn't ask for more. Well, a cell phone with many gigabytes, since you never get tired of taking photos.
-*-----------------------------------------
Remember that you can take a rowboat excursion to visit the island. We have gone swimming. The water is around 20 degrees in September.
