Itinerary description

A Must See!! Carnac is known worldwide for its long lines of menhirs... Thousands of them that do not cease to impress the visitor during the last 5000 years... Many are lost but what remains is still a wonder that must be visited. This well designed tour starts at the Musee de la Prehistoire, at Carnac city but could as well stat without any loss of interest at the Tumulus. It can also be easily extended to visit other sites. Close to the end there is a crossroad that allows one to get right to the fountain of Saint Michel, and see another magical fountain (a round well that seems out of the Arthurian cycle...) or ahead to the Tumulus. Both are good options...
