Itinerary description
For this walk we parked our car in a big car park in the bend of the road right before it turns right into Rennes-Les-Bains on the D14.
After approximately one kilometer we turned left to go up and when the road stopped we took a narrow unused track, which after a couple of hundred meters became much wider and nore comfortable.
At the signpost for the Chateau de Blanchefort we continued our beautiful track. After the second hairpin we left this track because we wanted to get out of the woods and try and get into the open fields to look at the views, which we definitely got shortly after the Col de Moulas,530 m. Going back to the small road we followed this until it coincided with our original path, which we followed again until the signpost for the Rock d'en Barrou. We took this small detour which turned out to be a really beautiful path leading up to a magnificent point of view.
Returning to our path which also is a very beautiful and pleasant one, we followed it past La Roche Tremblante and this track remains very beautiful until you get to the D14.
We turned to the right here to follow the the road until we came to the bridge that crosses La Sals and after crossing the river we turned left to follow it.
This is a very nice part of the walk which almost immediately gives you a magnificent view up to the Feauteuil du Diable to the left on the other side of the river at 440m.
When you get to Rennes-Les_bains again you are treated with another pleasant surprise for the views of the river, the houses, and the bridges are very pleasant indeed.
Having crossed the river at the last bridge we took some time to sit in the shade of the trees of the small park before we went back to the parking place.
