Itinerary description
A must do trail, in the lycian way turkey, to the eternal torch called “Chimera” (kimera).
It is the site of dozens of small fires which burn constantly, since 2500 years, from vents in the rocks on the side of the mountain. Directly below the fires are the ruins of the temple of Hephaistos, the ancient Greek God of fire. About 4km on asphalt. It is an unfinished loop but easy to continue till the end.
