Itinerary description
Our first hike in the famous Cinque Terre national park. It's a beautiful coast and with the imbedded, charming villages, it's even more attractive.
The hike is easy but a bit long if you do all five villages. The constant up and down is also a bit tiring and since the coastal trails between Corniglia-Marmola and Marmola-Riomaggiore are closed, you have to go up the hills so it's even more tiring. Still, nothing an average hiker can't do.
There were a lot of people at this time of year and cannot imagine during peak summer time! We went to paradise beach which was a refreshing detour but just be careful as there is a 1.5 meter drop off after going down the last part of a VERY steep trail just before reaching the beach. We used a rubber hose some people used to try go to down. Otherwise, it's a nice private beach all for yourself :)
