Itinerary description
The Vallivona sinkhole is a more than 100-m deep karst cenote collecting rainwater from the Vallivona basin on the Cervati mount. It provided also access to the Vallivona karst cave system. Now the cave main entrance is blocked by a wall for safety concerns.
The pit bottom can be easily visited through a 500-length tunnel (a water duct dug into the rock now dismissed) during the summer, when the tunnel and the pit are is nearly dry, excepting for some little pods.
