Itinerary description

Churdhar partial trek, a day hike, to warm up for when it opens.

I like Churdhar trek because it is a gradual climb, is a mid altitude trek the can be done in a weekend from Delhi, offers decent views from the top, and is a teahouse trek.

This year (in 2017), the trail is still closed in April given the heavy snowfall. Tragically, a kid died on the trail and a few others were injured attempting the steep, snow-covered ascent. May they rest in peace and may other hikers be aware of their strengths and limitations when the risk presents itself.
