Itinerary description

A large spring pops out and feeds the Middle Fork of the Willamette river. This is a massive spring of clear, cold water. The lower part of the trail was closed due to a recent forest fire - but it is still possible to walk to where the spring water joins the Willamette. It is amazing to see how many big old growth trees survived this fire despite severe burning. A bonus side trip lets you see Cliff Springs -- a nice spring popping out the bottom of a 15 rock cliff.
