HOW TO GET:
From Manchester you can get there by train. The services are frequent and the price is about 10.70GBP (off peak return).
POINT:
From the train station you can make the way without having to walk a lot through the city. There are other routes from other towns that still reach Chrome Hill and are shorter.
WHY GO: the views from Chrome Hill are nice but maybe the road from Buxton is not the best in the area, so maybe there are more nearby alternatives.
SERVICES: Buxton is a small city with all kinds of services with shops and restaurants of large chains and independent. Also several hotels. The spas are also famous.
DIFFICULTY: especially the distance is the most remarkable and sometimes the road is not clear and you get lost and you end up taking out almost the machete to open your way. We also found a couple of dogs quite aggressive.
IMPORTANT: due to the lack of time we had to shorten so we had to jump the Salomons temple.
DURATION: 7 hours. In theory it could be done in 5-6h, but it cost us more for the level of experience of the group, the heat and because in total we lost for about 15 minutes.
