Itinerary description

Partimos del pueblo de Chora Sfakion, los primeros 2Km son por carretera hasta ver la indicación del sendero E4 en una de las curvas. Iniciamos el descenso por el sendero sobre roca, es un tramo con mucha roca suelta, fácil pero que se debe hacer con precaución. Tras esta zona técnica llegamos a la Sweetwater Beach, una playa agradable y solitaria.
Continuamos por el sendero que asciende rápido al otro lado de la playa, a la derecha de los WC, y desde aquí ya es todo sendero. El sendero pasa junto a una pequeña iglesia con vistas espectaculares, y continúa bordeando la costa, ya sin ninguna dificultad, hasta Loutro.
En Loutro, descanso para recuperar fuerzas y vuelta por el mismo camino.
Fuera de temporada no hay nada en todo el camino y en Loutro todo está cerrado, por lo que es imprescindible llevar agua y algo de comida, y protegerse del sol ya que tampoco hay sombra. En verano, hay un bar en Sweetwater Beach, pero no hay garantías de que esté abierto.
En verano, se puede hacer solo la ida y volver en barco, o ir en barco y hacer sólo la vuelta.

We started from Chora Sfakion, walking the 2 first kilometers along the road until we saw the E4 sign in a curve. There begins the descent over a rock path, it's a section with a lot of loose rocks, it's easy but you must be cautious. After this technical section we arrived at Sweetwater Beach, a lonely and pleasant beach.
The path continues at right of the WC, with a pronunciated climb, and from here the path is all an easy trail. The path goes near a small church with awesome sights, and then goes along the edge of the shore, without difficulty to Loutro.
In Loutro, we rested for a while and then came back same way.
Out of the tourist season there arent't anything along all the way and all restaurants in Loutro are closed, so it's mandatory to bring water and some food with you, and protect you from the sun because there are no shadows. In summer, there is a bar at Sweetwater Beach, but with no warranties it'll be open.
During the summer, you can go by boat and return walking, or go walking and return by boat.
