Itinerary description
My phone was died, so I was not able to record whole route. The total route is not 18km, it just about 12, I think that some issue of GPS tracking.
This is a route from shelter to Kvabitskhevi, the way itself is not hard. The road is pretty straightforward.
Sometimes the road will be supper narrow, so you will need to have a concentration to not wall down by the slope. When you will get to the ridge, you will able to see view to the villages Atskuri and Sakuneti.
After the ridge you will follow the long serpentine, time when we was visited this rote whole serpentine was full of fallen trees. I think that is the result of some storm and destroying trees roots after serpentine building. So passing this part of the route take a lot of time, because we was need to pass over or under the tree, or sometimes shortcut the serpentine by the slope. Our friends with light backpacks skipped the serpentine by old straight road followed by the water path.
So I was not recommend to climb up by this route until you know that it is clean from the trees, the route down is much simpler.
On the end of your trip you will see Demotis fortress, it's possible to climb it up. They're nearby an picnic area with the spring.
