Itinerary description
Chiqueiro-Ermida-Lousã-Casal Novo. Aldeias do Xisto.
- Very well marked, just follow PR5.
- Classified as difficult due to max. and min. elevation (long distance of climbing up and then going down). Not the best for people with knee problems and without good shoes.
- Beautiful trail with breathtaking views, castel, church, river, waterfalls.
- It goes through few different villages.
- In Talasnal village and close to the Lousã Castel there are restaurants and souvenir shops.
- In Chiqueiro it's possible to see goats and cats.
- Close to the Lousã castel there are places with beaches and to take a bath. It's worth to take a swimsuit during a sunny day.
- The Castel Lousã has a tower with the access to go up and see a nice view.
