Chinarlar and Nohurlar villages are located in a forested area in the Shabran district. The village of Chinarlar is 880 meters above sea level. The name of the place means the place surrounded by Chinar trees.
Nohurlar village is in the Shabran district, 1357 m above sea level. It is located at a distance of 38 km from the center of the city. The history of the building is dated to the 16th century. The former name was Gomur. It was later called Nohurs.
Nohur is used here as a closed water basin. It is also used as a lake. The name of The village name is taken from the lakes in the area. These are the sweet water lakes that emerged after the strong earthquake in the past. The land is called the magnificent mountain lakes by locals. Their color is different, the juice is sweet. It is dangerous to swim as it is cold and deep. In the 60s of the last century, according to the provincial development program under the leadership of Communist leader N.Khrushshov, the village population was totally transferred to the district center. There is no social infrastructure in the village so far. Therefore, there is no living in the village . The villagers, who use the area as a summer place, come here in the summer. They prepare winter supply and go back when it is cold. Houses are built of stone and covered with trees in the top. Houses are whitened by grunges. This also gives a specific smell to the homes. Each house consists of 2-3 small rooms. They do not use the furniture. There are plenty of blankets, mattresses, pillowcases, and teacups. There is no electricity in the village. The lamps have not lost their actuality yet.
The total distance to the village of Chinarlar from the village of Nohurlar is 6.5 km. After reaching to Nohurlar we return to the village of Chinarlar again with another way. Since there is no road infrastructure, we will go from Galaalti village of Shabran with an old Soviet car (Gas 66).
