Great Mountain bike trail, too. Note that there is an additional section below the start point of this route. I.e. a singletrack section between Highway 6 and Lookout Mountain road. If parking a car, this posted route is safer though there is parking off of Hwy 6 if one wants to start all the way from the bottom. Alternate idea is to park at the Golden Community Center and use the (paved) bike trails to get to the Hwy 6 trailhead. This ride is often connected with Jefferson County Open Space's Apex Park (aka ChimPex) for a larger ride/hike.
