Ruta que fa la volta a les dos illes principals del llac Chiemsee: la Herreninsel i la Fraueninsel. L'enllaç entre les dos illes es fa amb ferri, el mateix que serveix per a arribar a elles des dels ports del voltant del llac.
És interessant destacar el paisatge totalment diferent de cadascuna de les illes; la primera pràcticament deshabitada i ocupada pel bosc llevat de l'extrem oest on s'alça l'antic monestir benedictí transformat en palau per Ludwig II i també el palau de Chiemsee, que pretenia ser una imitació a Versalles però inacabat; la segona està densament poblada amb tota la superfície disponible coberta de cases llevat de l'extrem sud on s'alça el monestir benedictí de dones (encara ocupat) voltat d'hortes.

Route, die um die beiden Hauptinseln des Chiemsees führt: die Herreninsel und die Fraueninsel. Die Verbindung zwischen den beiden Inseln wird mit der Fähre hergestellt, die auch von den Häfen rund um den See erreicht wird.
