Itinerary description
Wow! When was the last time you were able to take your dog off leash for a 3 mile walk. This off leash portion of Cherry Creek State Park is fantastic. There is plenty of water for the dog to play in, and plenty of trails criss crossing this 107 acre park. This is the premier dog park in the Denver Metro Area.
There are many entrances into the dog park, choose which one works best for you. Go to the Cherry Creek State Park wedsite and scroll down to the bottom to get more info and a map of the off leash area. I started my walk from the 12 mile picnic area parking lot.
Please be aware that you are required to have a state parks annual or day pass. And you will be required to pay $2 to enter the park. A small price to pay.
