Itinerary description
A two mile woodland loop hike easy enough to push a baby carriage on. There is a 0.9 mile spur loop off this one (not hiked or tracked, more below). My track goes counter clockwise but I recommend going clockwise so the steeper part is walked going downhill. There are good switchbacks there though. Also, there are mileage posts every quarter mile and they are easier to understand going clockwise.
The official start to get to the loop is at the park entrance but this track starts near some parking, heads down to a cabin and then to the loop. This is a photographed waypoint.
The signed bicycle loop spur starts and ends at the northernmost point on the track at a bridge (a photographed waypoint). A talk with hikers returning from the loop leads me to think that this section should be rated Moderate.
There are a number of benches along the trail and streams are bridged.
Cherokee Bluff is a county park located in or near the town of Flowery Branch, Georgia. The area around the parking lots are grassy and open and there are facilities for picnics.
