Itinerary description
An easy walk that includes the Caldon Canal towpath. The highlight is probably Deep Hayes. The walk is lovely and rural with a great lunch stop at Cheddleton Old School Cafe (check opening hours). The leg on its own terminates on private ground with no access to the canal towpath requiring an about turn. Many alternative lunch/drink stops available but they can be expensive.
