Itinerary description
This hike will take you out some of the many roads to the St Johns River Area. You will pass some very beautiful scenery along the roads found in the Charles Bronson State Forest. Once out by the St Johns River you can visit a number of mounds (a couple verified Indian mounds) which are very unique in their own rite. I also ventured along some of the man-made canals that exist near the river. The day I went out there the river was very low, so access was quite extensive. If you look at some of my other pictures you can see how much water was out there when I last visited the area. The day we visited we carried out a large bag of trash - consider picking up after some very ignorant people! Please take nothing but pictures and leave nothing but footprints.
