Itinerary description
Atention: don't use the trail I used from TAGANANA TO AFUR its PRIVATE & the owner wanted us to go all the way back when we nearly reached Afur..not a nice guy, we had to discuss to get the allowance to pass. Be careful with that, next time he might not be in a "good mood", a shame that amazing land like this is private.. 🙄😅
The trail was really good, but sometimes hard (definitely worth it though), you will always reach points where you can fill up your water, but be careful with the one nearly at the end, it's Locked (as you see in the picture). The way back from Playa de la Arena to the mountains is not nice to walk, but there is a bus for going up and after I hitchhiked, like a few times when the track was on a road and not really enjoyable :D the people were all really friendly and I didn't had to wait too long for someone to stop 😇
Next time I wouldn't go to Playa de la Arena, the way is too long to get there, if you want to see it better take a car and do a day trip. Also in the end you don't have to pass by Aguamansa, only if you need to get some food, otherwise it's better to stay in the Mountains. But don't try to take the track through the barranco de infierno, it's really difficult to find and stops somewhere so you would need to climb a bit.
The mountains were really amazing, but after the sun goes down it's cold, so don't save weight with clothes, as you'll need them😅
I made the whole trail in 6 days, because we were really tranquillo 😅🤭, so normally we started walking at noon. If you get up early you can do it in less days.
Enjoy 🤙🏼

Nice trail. Which part of the is over private land? The whole top section along the coast (at the end)? Kind regards, Marco
Thx, If I remember right only the part from Taganana to Afur was on private land. But in the north along the coast it was closed due to rock falls and bad conditions, but the track wasn't to bad and not private (not 100% sure) though).
Enjoy your trip 🤗
Amazing trek! Where did you spend the night? Were you camping?
