Route 5 - Annapurna Circuit - Fifth route of the Annapurna circuit (06/17/2017). We left Chame early on a splendid day. The road is not very nice because it is almost all the time on the (dirt road) of Chame and it is quite wide, but for me it is one of the most beautiful stages since the views are spectacular above all half way and end of the stage. Halfway the road passes through a part excavated in a precipice from where incredible landscapes are seen with a fall to the Marshyangdi river and waterfalls on the other side of the river. After passing this stretch we find ourselves in front of the impressive view of Paungda Danda, a slope of a mountain eroded by a glacier and on the other side of the river a huge pine forest that smells wonderful. We see this when we leave the road and when we enter the original path that crosses the forest as soon as we cross the river bridge. Later we passed through a village where we ate to recover strength and we reached an esplanade crossing the river again, from here there are the best views of the Paungda Danda and we can intuit the Annapurna II. As soon as you reach Upper Pisang you can see the Annapurna II in all its splendor, although I recommend going to the temple that is in the highest part of Upper Pisang since the views of the whole valley and the mountains take away the speech.
