Itinerary description

chain of lakes trail
The routes that I share may run along non-approved and unmarked paths in a significant part of the route, so whoever decides to do so does so at their own risk and must know the implications of walking along non-approved paths.
GPS is required. Refrain from doing it if the weather conditions are not favorable or with wet ground
It is convenient to consult the information of the waypoints.
Important announcement. Disclaimer
The information contained in My wikiloc routes are data, opinions and experiences of the author. I am not a mountain guide, I am not qualified to guide people and this route is only a reflection of my experience when doing it. This information can never be considered sufficient to carry out any of the routes or activities described.

To practice adventure sports, hiking, mountaineering, etc..., adequate physical conditions are needed in addition to having technical knowledge and adequate material, as well as knowing the environment, the characteristics of each place and consulting weather forecasts. Otherwise, if we do not have sufficient knowledge to carry out these activities with guarantees, we must hire the services of a professional or take a training course offered by clubs and federations.

The author is not responsible for the consequences that may arise from the lack of all or part of the above, as well as the misuse of the information that appears here.
I have done this route under my own responsibility and the assessment of its difficulty may not be shared by other users. Each one who does it under his own. The exposed GPS positions are not necessarily an exact route guide since the GPS positioning could have failed or be inaccurate. The rains, landslides, etc... can cause the state of the tracks and trails to vary. Everyone carries out this type of activity under their own responsibility.
Activities in nature carry certain intrinsic risks. For this reason, it is necessary to highlight some recommendations for the practice of hiking, which allow improving the safety of people. You can encourage this behavior by remembering these simple rules, which are as follows:
- Prepare in advance the excursion to be carried out:
check the weather forecast and check that the technical characteristics of the route are appropriate for you.
- Clothing and footwear must be suitable for hiking.
- Carry enough food and water in your backpack, something warm, sunscreen, a hat and a charged mobile phone. Walking sticks may also be helpful.
- Always walk in company and only on the marked trail.
- Always inform family or friends of the route you are going to take.
Remember: traveling through the natural environment carries risks. You walk at your own risk. Be careful. In an emergency, call emergency.

Actually this trail is not in the North Cascades National Park but in the Mt Baker Wilderness in the Mt Baker Snoqualmie National Forest. Different rules and park passes apply. Mt Shuksan to the east is just inside the North Cascades National Park.
I have done this trail as the full loop over Herman's Saddle among many great hikes in the area.
