Itinerary description
Nice solo hike in Nepal - a loop trail from Mandala Yoga resort through Chaap Bhanjyang camp and Deurali pass back to Matatirtha region.
Quite steep ascent for the first 1.5 hour all way up to the camp, then predominately flat / slightly down towards Deurali pass and down along off beaten track to Matatirtha. I did a shortcut at the end trough a hill which was not a proper path (seems used by villagers that cut a path through the bush) and very slippery at few points, may be better to go around the hill through the village.
Have proper hiking shoes as even with no rain the path is slippery/muddy in few areas.
Add approx an hour to my trail as I got a bumpy scouter ride with local for half an hour (quite an adventure). Was in rush so I didn’t refuse the offer…
Note: some locals say there are wild animals in the forrest but I didn’t see any, most likely they stay away from people. I only saw few groups of local Nepali’s chopping and bringing down wood back to the village.
Mandala Yoga place is great, clean and warm - recommended for some quiet downtime or yoga training!
