Itinerary description
The village is located in the foothills. The former name of Narimankend village was first Meraza, and then Molokan Meraza. The village was founded under the name "Meraza" by Russian (specifically Molokan) families who moved to the area in the 19th century. However, in order not to be confused with the other Meraza village (today's Gobustan city) inhabited by Muslim Azerbaijanis in the neighborhood, these two villages were distinguished by the names of Molokan Meraza and Muslim Meraza. The current Narimankend territory was the Molokan Marazasi.
During the Soviet period, during the years of collectivization, the name of the village of Molokan Merazasi was changed to Narimankend in honor of the statesman Nariman Narimanov. The memorial is a toponym.
