Cerro Negro desde Laguna Mojanda

Salimos mi amiga y yo desde Otavalo a las 5:30am llegando a la laguna tipo 6:30am. Empezamos la caminata a las 7am por donde está el sendero de Fuya Fuya.

Por este camino pasa por los dos desvíos a las otras lagunas Chiriacu primero y luego Huarmicocha. Pasamos un mirador más arriba y dd ahí encontramos el inicio de sendero. No es el sendero de mapsme y no tiene un señal pero si es medio fácil encontrar como pueden ver en la foto.

Ahí nos encontramos con dos amigos más que vinieron en su propio carro. Subimos juntos hacia la cumbre.

Les recomiendo ir con guía si no lo conozco ni tiene experiencia de montaña y navegación. No es una ruta larga pero como siempre hay que respetar a la Pachamamá y la montaña. Hay algunas partes en donde toca escalar un poquito. Puede ser muy resbaloso entonces tenga mucho cuidado. Lleva casco y cuerda si se siente más seguro así.

My friend and I left Otavalo at 5:30am, arriving at the main lake at around 6:30am. We started the walk at 7am where the Fuya Fuya trail is.

On this road, we passed the two crossroads to the other lagoons, first Chiriacu and then Huarmicocha. We passed a viewpoint further up the road and from there we arrived at the beginning of the trail. This trail isn’t the one on mapsme and it does not have a sign but it is easy to find as you can see in the photo.

There we met two more friends who arrived in their own car. We all climbed together towards the summit.

I recommend going with a guide if you don't know the route or you don’t have mountain and navigation experience. It is not a long route but as always you have to respect the Pachamama and the mountain. There are some parts where you have to climb a little. It can be very slippery so be very careful. Wear a helmet and rope if you feel safer that way.
