Itinerary description
Cerro Fitzroy at the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares in the Argentinan Patagonia offers superb hiking. The hike to the Laguna de los Tres is possibly the best hike and the most popular. It is not a difficult hike, except for the last kilometer, which will definetely test your legs and lungs. The view at the top is stunning. However, those short on time or lacking good fitness can cut the hike short as it is possible to hike to the first mirador and already have a great view from there.
The nearest town is El Chaltén (near El Calafate), where there are plenty of accommodation and restaurants.

Hi! Thanks for sharing. After your experience, would you advice doing this hike on the same day, or camp for one night in Poincenot? Thanks!
I would recommend camping because the area where the camping is located is very beautiful. You can then head to Laguna Torre and then back to El Chalten
