Itinerary description
This route starts in the car park in the centre of Monda (Calle Feria), and takes us out of the village and onto the Roman Footpath, then across the river and into the campo.
We follow this track which is mainly level and passes through the many Olive groves, which at this time of the year are a hive of activity with the Olives being picked.
The route passes many fincas and then starts a steady and at times steep incline, but the reward for the effort id great as the views from the top are magnificent.
The decline is even steeper, in parts, than the incline, and it’s back down into the valley and we return on the track that we started on, back across the dry river and up the Roman Footpath and into the village, where there are a number of bars for a well earned refreshment.
Distance: 5.75 km
Approx. Time: 2 hrs
