Itinerary description

Very difficult
I hiked up to Cerro Buenos Aires (well not exactly to the top but almost) on April 10, 2024. The trail is not marked very well and seems little maintained - it seems few people are using it. Therefore it was partially difficult to follow the trail, there are many ways up to the peak. I used the GPS to stay on trak. The last part outside the forest was almost completely cover in snow. Crampons and hiking sticks are recommended if conditions are snowy up there. From the top and along the trail one has stunning views on and above the glacier Perito Moreno and it's surroundings. From the road to the top I made it in 2.5h and the descend took my around 2h - I was rushing though because I started late and didn't want to end up hiking at night.
