Itinerary description
My plan was to do some off track exploration in the East branch of Cattle Creek to find the the 'living stump' and the Cattle Creek Caves.
This very rugged country with lost of stingy, scratchy, prickley things.
I found the stump which is quiet interesting.
The tree was felled about 100 years ago but the stump is still alive because its roots have grafted to that of a nearby tree.
However no luck finding the caves as described here:

If anyone has any clues to the location I'd be keen to know.

i think the cave is on the cliff face to the right of the living stump
there should also be a waterfall in close proximity to the cave
