A walk in an isolated area of Slovenia, where it is not easy to meet a tourist. The route starts in Zgornja Besnica, an isolated suburb of Kranj. We leave the car in a small parking lot next to the road, near the indicative panel that indicates the road to the waterfall. We start down a paved path between houses, which soon gives way to a stone track. The final section is made by a steep path, with a metal railing that helps not to trip over the roots. We reach the river and contemplate the waterfall. We go back up the same path and we go to a well-marked route, with information panels on the trees in the area, but only in Slovenian. The road is wide but quite steep, until reaching the summit of Rovnik, where we find a mailbox with a guest book and a bell. The descent continues through the leafy forest, until reaching the plain where the grassy meadows appear. A nice excursion to see the Slovenian forests.
