Itinerary description
Started in the carpark facing the castle along the road to Dunmanway. Followed the trail markings to the left. It's backroads for about 1.5km and then you follow a cobbled track up around the mountain. The track then crosses bog around the top of the mountain. Some spectacular views of West Cork and the coastline from here. The trail continues over the bog and down the other side of the mountain. You take a right when you reach the road and this leads you back down to the castle.
