Itinerary description
An excllent walk that incudes woodlands, fields, lovely Costwold villages and a few streams. There are some far reaching views of the Wiltshire coountryside. The walk can easily be extended, shortended or re-directed to suit preferences. This was quite hilly but nothing particularly steep or long.
The popular Castle Combe can become quite populated, expecially in the summer months when the tourist industry is back in full swing (following lockdown measures), but the route should be quiet once beyond a 2 mile radius.
I've walked this route (or similar ones) a few times and whilst there was no mud on this occasion folloing a sustained period of dry weather, be prepared for some muddy sections in the winter months or after a week of rain.
