Itinerary description
An easy walk through the large estate of Quinta do Pisão in north Cascais, right on the border and on the foot of the Sintra hills. Recommended in the case where you don't feel like scaling the Sintra hills but would rather have quite a relaxing, reasonably flat walk with great views.
Some of the path of the main walkways go back the same way they. came, due to an annoying number of gates and forbidden signs outside marked paths. Sometimes they can be ignored but this walk respects them. You can easily spot the dead ends in the path if you want to avoid going back, making the walk about 5km instead. I would still recommend going down the first cul-de-sac, as the organic farm in a valley is very nice.
Also a great walk with kids as there are many animals to spot, including horses, mules and such.
