Waypoints
Photo
At sharp right bend in road head onto farm track with clear sign for cascade d'ars. Take note of bear encounter info beforehand!!. Head uphill
Photo
Easy climb through beech forest and beside sheep fields with electric fences not to keep sheep on but other much larger creatures out!
Photo
Just after passing a gorgeous set of rapids on your left go left at signed junction onto smaller trail
Photo
Cross bridge by pretty petit cascades d'ars and zig zag steeper uphill on left side of stream (true left)
Photo
Just below cascade the route we take goes left at discreet junction on gr10 but first walk couple min to base of waterfall
Photo
Make way back to gr10 and climb up and up. Trail quieter now as families rtn back way they came
Photo
After a ,25min climb the trees peel back a bit as ground levels more and grassy pastures appear. Slowly path bends right
Photo
Dip and very a little ridge to a sublime hidden valley among trees with a stream running through it. Descend to bridge and cross
Photo
Path swings right onto open ground and a view toward valley with cascade and peaks beyond. Flat now it continues toward lake
Photo
After few min see etang below to left. Halfway along trail veer off down to it and teack
Photo
Fabulous forest walk slowly back to start. An absolute pleasure to stroll through
Photo
Path turns quite discreetly right above and then past a grassy clearing. Still on gr
Photo
Path drops down a very steep slope but long snaking path takes heat off the legs
Photo
After 45min from lake a very easy to miss junction. The wider trail goes straight on but a small rock with very fades yellow cross on it indicates u take the smaller steep dropping path on right there is a yellow way marker on tree and blue trail running signs but is easy to go into a dream and keep going straight ahead
Photo
Getting closer to village the proper trail can be easy to loose as many side paths. Watch for yellow markers
Photo
The snaking (and by now a little tiring)descent through forest comes to an end at a quiet road. Go right downhill on road
