The Boyana church is a medieval Bulgarian Orthodox church located in the outskirts of Sofia, in the neighborhood of Boyana, at the foot of the Vitosha massif. It is famous for its frescoes, made in 1259 on older ones and represent one of the best preserved examples of medieval art in Eastern Europe.
From this monastery you can reach the beautiful Boyana waterfall, traveling first through the urbanization of the Boyana neighborhoods and then along the path that runs through the forest of Vitosha. This way round we have not reflected in this track for now and it is easier than here reflected. In our part of the cascade in descent pronounced by trail of loose rock, so it is advised you want to make a circular make this way to return then the other, the one not indicated in our track that is simpler. Although we have made the complete circular in reverse of how it is recommended, we have only registered the return on gps.
Although you can see staff with flip flops or slippers, it is recommended to wear a boot that is as it should be so as not to play with safety.

Going up it is quite steep and hard at some times... there are several trees in the path but nothing hard to go through, several kids and elderly found in the way. But I have to confess that it took an effort for sure. It is definaletly worth it! Beautiful and amazing energy.
