Carvajal – Tajo de la Soga, Fuengirola – Benalmadena
These beach walk starts at the beginning of the Carvajal promenade. Parking (which is free, no blue zones) on the paseo Maritimó - Rey de España isn’t a problem now as there are less holiday makers.
As you get to the end of the promenade by a roundabout, go over the steps and follow the decking which is the start of the Sendero Carvajal.
Keep going until you reach the lighthouse.
Returning from the lighthouse take the path sharp left which will take you to a rocky area where the small cliff Tajo de la Soga is. Straight about is the Holiday Village resort (the one with the elephant statutes).
The return journey I did along the beach front as I always enjoy the sound of the surf and waves, and the sun glistening on the water.
There are quite a lot of places to eat, so I left these waypoints out.
I usually go to Graniers, which is really good value for money, if you just want a coffee and snack.
Playa Carvajal 1.2km
Playa Tajo de la Soga 470m (Benalmadena)
