Itinerary description
O.S. Discovery Series 67. Start point is on the N76 heading from Carrick on Suir to Kilkenny. First turn left after Glenbower Hill/Wood, signposted (brown) Carrigmaclear Monument. Then follow signs for monument. Start hike at entrance to forrest (on left) where a small plaque is situated.
A generally easy walk on trails through the forrest There is one steep ascent and descent on the northern slope of Slievenamon.
