Itinerary description
Gorgeous hike in trying conditions. 6am start with an easy approach to Ffynnon Llugwy then a short scramble and steep ascent up Carnedd Llewelyn. From there, strong winds crossing the ridge to Carnedd Dafydd, followed by heavy rain down from Pen Yr Ole Wen. The descent is tough, in parts a scramble finishing with a lovely meander by the river. Great hike, but tricky conditions. (n.b. forgot to stop the clock: hike 30min shorter time wise)
