Itinerary description
This track walks past the lower Gorge attractions and focuses on the upper Gorge attractions including Cathedral Cave, Big Bend and Boowinda Gorge. This hike is best done early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day in the gorge later on.
Boowinda Gorge does involve some rock hopping and is at it's end the start of the climb up Battleships Spur. Big bend is also a campground with toilets.
There are a total of 16 Creek crossings up the gorge to get to big bend. The track is Sandy most the time and relatively flat across the distance.
