Itinerary description

The 20km (return) hike on the Main Walking Trail, at Carnarvon Gorge, is one of the most unique locations in Queensland. The fairly flat trail, follows (and crosses) the creek line many time as it takes you past turnoffs to Boolimba Bluff, Moss Garden, Amphitheatre, Wards Canyon, Art Gallery, Cathedral Cave, Boowinda Gorge and finishes at Big Bend Walkers Camp. Each side trip is unique and fascinating and they are all worth visiting if you have the time. This trail is also day one of the Carnarvon Great Walk.
