Itinerary description
A moderate 2 mile hike starting from parking area at route 160 down to Captain Cook's burial monument. It's a steady downhill leisurely walk however the return trip up the 13% grade can be quite a challenge for some. This trek is often underestimated by tourists who venture out in sandals and with little or no water, when in fact this two-hour return hike should be done in sturdy footwear and with plenty of water.
