Itinerary description
This is part of the Upper Canyon Trail loop. This trail is broken into 2 parts (A and C). "A" leads up the canyon following a stream before climbing to the rim of the canyon. From here, the trail reaches an intersection with part "C" (leading down the other side and the Haynes Ridge Overlook trail.
There is also a little cave with ferns at the top (known as fern cave on the map), although I did not see this on my hike.
I had left my hiking partner on the canyon floor when I climbed to the top, so I doubled back after reaching the top.
Note - Take plenty of water. The climb up the canyon wall at the 2 mile mark is quite steep.
