from Deepdene Campsite to Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse

This day has: walk in beach sand and dunes, rock scrambling, river crossing, 4WD road walk with some sun covered sections.

Deepdene Beach

(Beach Number: wa0631) Deepdene Beach is 5.3 km long. The southern part has some rocks and blowouts and the northern part has more firm white sand. Turner Brook drains across the beach 1 km away from the southern end.

Quarry Bay

(Beach Number: wa0619) It's located 200m to the north and is a U-shaped, west-facing bay, from the shores of which rock was quarried for the lighthouse. The bay is 200 m across at the entrance with the 250 m long beach curving round the back of the bay. A gravel road, off the Skippy Rock road, leads to a car park at the back of the beach.
