Itinerary description

This is an extremely worthy hike. Specially if you have just arrived in Chivay and you are wondering what to do besides visiting the old ruins and the main plaza.

If you are going to Chivay (usually to take a look at Condor's flight), you should also spend some time hiking on the path between Canocota and Chivay. I would recommend you to take a cab from Chivay to Canocota and take the way back by hiking the path. Of course, you can also start in Chivay, and end up in Canocota, but I am not sure you will be able to take a cab back there. So, allow some extra time or headlights to follow the way back in case you need to.

You'll have the opportunity to walk through some stoned paths, crops and canyons. The path is easy to follow and if you would like to shorten it, you'll have the chance to take another cab in "La Calera", where people usually share some pools of hot water.

We did this path while coming back from "Callali" and "Momia Juanito" (Sibayo). Our taxi driver dropped us in Canocota and gave us some directions about the path. As we got to La Calera by the end of the day, we decided to take another cab back to Chivay.
