Lake Minnewanka is the largest in Banff Park.
In April it was freezing but not so cold that we could walk on top of the ice, so we settled for doing the route to the Stewart Canyon bridge.
Also with some ice sheet, so we recommend bringing crampons in the snowy season.
The lake is impressive as well as the mountains that surround it.
