Itinerary description
Trail of the Vines...
This trip takes us through the hills of Kashar area direction the coast, crossing the small village of Shesh where the Tirana region grapes take their name from, 'Shesh i Bardhe' & 'Shesh i Zi' , white and red wine accordingly. The destination is Kokomani Winery for a nice rest and some well-deserved food & wine. The return trip should be arranged with transportation from Kokomani back to Tirana.
The trail is easy but it reaches a good length of 14 km, so well prepared hikers should take this journey. The elevation stays mostly on the lower scale throughout the rolling hills but it does reach up to 575m at some point.

Fantastic scenery but a part of the trail has crumbled away at some point and the path was too over grown above the lake so we had to take a diversion down the track and then made our way around the lake.

Great hike with varied scenery , lovely views and very peaceful. Some short steep sections and a few narrowish ridges. Part of trail washed away at half way point but still navigable with care. Section of the trail running down to last lake was too overgrown to use and required 20 (?) minute diversion at waters edge along south bank of the lake to rejoin trail at causeway. Reasonable fitness required.
