Itinerary description
Camping Les Ochay: Tunnel de Lingle, Semois and La Roche aux Corbeaux
Start your walk at Camping Les Ochay in Mortehan:
Rue de Linglé 37
6880 Bertrix
49,80345° N, 5,21384° O
The walk is quite adventurous at times, especially in the beginning where the path now and then disappears. Being able to navigate with a gps is a must.
So, you start by climbing in the forest above Mortehan. You will gradually reach the highest point before descending towards the N884 which you shortly follow before turning left towards a viaduct.
Right before the viaduct you climb on a path on the righthandside. On top of the viaduct you go right towards the “Tunnel de Lingle” where you walk through. (Flashlight or smartphone comes in handy)
After the tunnel you’ll find a picnictable with great views over the Semois!
Enjoy a break here!
Continue on on the clear forest path until you almost reach another viaduct where you follow a small path on your left which will bring you to the street under the viaduct. Walk under it and follow the N884 until you can walk next to the Semois on grassy path away from the road.
After awhile you leave the grassy path by using rocky stairs and find yourself back on the road which you have to cross to follow an ascending walking path towards “La Roche aux Corbeaux”
On the way to the top you’ll pass by a bench where, if needed, can take a small break. On the top of “La Roche aux Corbeaux” at 324 meters of altitude you are rewarded by a lovely view over the Semois.
Continue alongside the lovely path through the forest until you come to a wider forest path. Go left here and descend all the way towards the road.
On the road, take a right, follow 100 meters until you take a left, following another forestroad.
After awhile you’ll recognise a junction where you started climbing on the beginning of your walk. Go left towards the road and soon you’ll be back at your starting point, Camping Les Ochay.
Enjoy!

Erg leuke route. Zoals in de beschrijving staat: navigatie skills is wel noodzakelijk maar als je de route precies volgt is het geen probleem. Veel afwisseling in omgeving en paden en paadjes, soms zijn er ook geen paden. Aanrader.
