Itinerary description
From barichara walk on the well preserved and easy to navigate camino real. Stop in Guane to have some lunch (Ojalá is a new vegetarian restaurant that I would highly recommend! When looking at the church it's just down the street to the right). Then start the climb towards Villanueva. When you reach the top of the bridge just past the house there is a path through a wash on the right side (a young boy at the house can give you directions in english or in spanish). Decent the path and arrive in Villanueva. Stay the night and enjoy some ice cream at El Nevado

When you reach a gate with a sign for a tienda continue to the house and ask the residents if you can continue up to the mirador (5 minute detour from the Camino)
