Itinerary description
Sometimes you get the impression that the Camino de Invierno has been designed by designers of a "Camino de Gran Recorrido" / "Chemin de Grande Randonnée". They seem to hate asfalt, even at the penalty of a large detour.
Since I am neither a masochist nor a purist I deviated three times from the way-marked route
- Day 1: I followed the main road (1,8 km) instead of the "camino"(4,5 kms and 250 m climbing)
- Day 2: I dropped the detour to the monastery of Xagoaza (closed)
- Day 4: I used the road to do the last 3 kms to Chantada

Moderate
